PROFESSIONAL BIOGRAPHY

Bob Cummings has over twenty years of consulting mechanical and plumbing engineering experience. Bob also has five years of experience as a mechanical contractor project manager for a leading design build contractor in the mountains. Bob’s extensive background and experience clearly illustrates his ability to create top quality designs that are both cost effective and fit in the intended spaces.

RELEVANT PROJECT EXPERIENCE

Bob has many years of experience in careful planning for shafts, tight space requirements and acoustical considerations for mechanical systems. Further consideration is given towards the planning of the mechanical systems and the interface with high finish areas. Many of the systems Bob has designed involve complex control relationships between air movement, sound generation, and radiant effects, which in turn ensures the utmost comfort for occupants. He has also expanded his engineering skills to include a comprehensive knowledge of the numerous energy codes in today’s state and local regulations.

A particular interest for Bob is ground source or geothermal heat rejection and absorption for efficient building heating and cooling. Bob recently completed the IGSHPA certification course for ground source heating and cooling methods. AEC has successfully designed and completed several projects that utilize this high efficiency method for heating and cooling.
