TAYLOR CRITCHLOW, P.E., PRINCIPAL, LEED AP
Taylor has been living and engineering in the Vail valley since early 2003. A native of Massachusetts, Taylor moved for the skiing and stayed for the lifestyle. He enjoys the opportunities and challenges present in the mountain construction industry, and is particularly interested in practicing sustainable design through an integrated process and whole building approach.
Taylor has a great deal of experience in high-end residential and mixed-use commercial design. He is careful and meticulous, and enjoys working through aesthetic detail. He has completed designs ranging from a performance arts center to a funeral home, small remodels to full scale building designs and assessments, and anything in between that the mountain communities have to offer.
Taylor’s real passion is sustainable design, and he strongly believes that efficiency is about a lot more than just placing solar panels on a roof (though if you are interested, he’d be happy to design you a system!). He believes in reducing demand through passive design strategies and integrated planning, and that sustainable design can be as economically attractive as it is socially responsible.
Outside of the office, Taylor enjoys getting outside on his bike/skiis/feet as often as possible. He loves life in the mountains, but wishes someone would bring in a bigger and better live music venue closer to home.
